Support Services began as Fire Fighter Rehab and has evolved into a multifaceted division of Spartanburg County CERT.  Here are some of the roles/responsibilities of Support Services:

·         Emergency Services Rehab

·         Logistic Functions (Donation Centers, PODS, COVID PPE Distribution)

·         Special Event Organizers (Santa Fun Run 5k, Community Emergency Preparedness Day, etc)

·         Special Event Support (CERT Events, Relay for Life, Greer Freedom Blast, 5k Runs, etc)

·         Traffic/Crowd Control

·         EOC Support

·         Debris Management (new initiative in 2020)

·         Emergency Response Drills/Exercise Assistance (NDMS, GSP Airport Exercise, etc)

Collectively, this Division of the CERT program is the busiest followed closely by Search and Rescue.  Many members are active in both divisions and some, all divisions.  To see how active we have been throughout the years, see activation history below:
